Concetta Beale Director

Planning, Institutional Research and Assessment 

The Director is responsible for:

  • Supervise the Quantitative Analysis Associate and Institutional Research Associate
  • Analyze and aggregate data from all aspects of University life
  • Design and implement a University-wide assessment plan
  • Employ the use of analytical data to support administrative decisions for successful planning, budgeting, and improvement of all aspects of the institution
  • Disseminate data to University offices as required
  • Oversee the completion of external surveys for state and federal regulatory agencies, accreditation bodies, and university rating guides
  • Supervise reporting on the perceptions and attitudes of campus constituencies
  • Serve on various committee to provide analytic or research findings in the support of executive decision-making and strategic planning
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the Associate Provost for Finance, Planning and Assessment

 

Janet Easterling Institutional Research Associate

The Institutional Research Associate is responsible for:

  • coordinating the administration and dissemination of results of institutional cohort surveys

  • providing resources for assessment, planning and documentation in individual academic and other units

  • under the auspices of the Outcomes Assessment Team, working to facilitate and increase effective assessments at the program level

  • conducting surveys for the evaluation of the new student orientation programming

  • monitoring and reporting the retention of undergraduate students

  • projecting resource requirements for new initiatives such as the proposed University core curriculum

  • providing coordination and guidance in data gathering, analysis and reporting of assessment outcomes by individual units

  • working with the Teaching and Learning Center with the technology group within the TLTC in efforts to evaluate the impact of increasing uses of IT to enhance the first year curriculum and improve student access to academic resources

  • fulfilling requests for student data, benchmark information, and ad hoc analyses

  • working with committees and task teams as assigned by the Associate Provost

  • performing other duties assigned by the Associate Provost

Currently Vacant Quantitative Analysis Associate

The Quantitative Analysis Associate is responsible for:

  • Designing and publishing annually the University's Fact Book, a concise and handy reference guide on the routine statistical and informational needs of the University community.
  • Maintaining an information system which captures and archives data necessary for several regulatory agencies as well as other external reporting requirements.
  • Projecting student enrollment and credit hour trends at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Processing and maintaining faculty course evaluations.
  • Providing ad-hoc reporting as a resource to cabinet members, deans, department heads, and other members of the community for non-standard requests to assist and support in their planning processes and accreditation requirements.
  • Auditing and reviewing the University databases to ensure data integrity.
  • Performing other duties assigned by the Director.
