Powering Science & Technology, Education and Discovery
Over the next two and ½ years McNulty Hall will undergo a complete re-design
and expansion to create a new, 90,000 square foot Science and Technology Center.
This new center will house the teaching and research programs of Biology,
Chemistry and Biochemistry, Mathematics and Computer Sciences, and Physics. The
project is expected to be completed by September 2007.
PLEASE PARDON OUR PROGRESS
We are now in Phase 1 Construction. During Phase 1, the North and East sides of
McNulty will be closed for construction. Only the West (Ward Place side) and
South (facing Corrigan Hall) sides will be open. All lectures have been moved
out of the building and only teaching and research laboratories, the Stockroom
and a few faculty offices are located in McNulty. Please note the following:
- Biology departmental offices are located in 324 Mooney Hall, (973-761-9044)
- Chemistry/Biochemistry departmental offices are located in 82 Duffy Hall, (973-761-9414)
- Physics departmental offices are located in 318 Mooney Hall, (973-761-9050)
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
- Do not enter construction zones.
- Main Entrance/Exit is through the doors facing South toward Corrigan Hall.
- Emergency Egress doors are located on the doors facing North toward Boland Hall. These doors are to be used only in case of EMERGENCY.
- In case of Emergency, pull the nearest Fire Alarm. Alarms will sound throughout the building.
- Call 911 or 9300 (973-761-9300) to report the Emergency
- During Phase 1, there will be no external notification of the alarm, thus, 911 or 9300 must be called.
- There may be unexpected interruptions to utilities such as electric, water, fume hoods.
- Researchers must report all Potentially Hazardous Experiments that might become hazardous in the unexpected event of a utility outage. Report to John Sowa, Academic Liaison (see below).
- The Chemical Hygiene Plan remains as the official document for laboratory safety.
