Students taking over 18 credits per semester will be charged the flat rate plus $869 per additional credit.

Health Insurance

The cost for the Student Insurance Plan will be included in your bill for tuition and fees. Half the cost will be in the Fall 2009 semester’s bill and half in the Spring 2010 semester’s bill. The (cost) rates for the Undergraduate/Graduate Student Insurance Plan are not available at this time.

New Jersey state law requires that full-time matriculated students be covered by health insurance.  In order to ensure that all our students are in compliance with this requirement, Seton Hall University provides group health insurance plans for undergraduate, graduate and law students.  You will automatically be enrolled in the appropriate plan.  If you are covered under another health insurance plan and would like to request an exemption from enrollment in Seton Hall’s Student Insurance Plan, you must complete and electronically submit a waiver form on line.

Information relating to Insurance and the waiver form procedure for 2009-10 is currently not available.  Please check back at a future date (mid-Summer).

You can access the electronic waiver form here.

For a complete breakdown of the meal plan options, visit Seton Hall's Gourmet Dining Web site.

Students who live on campus must purchase one of the meal plans (I-VI) indicated above. These plans represent a combination of a number of meals per week and a pool of flexible spending funds, called Pirate Bucks, that are placed on an account for the student and can be used like a debit card at all of the dining facilities on campus, but not in the University Bookstore.

Any Pirate Bucks left over at the end of the fall semester will carry over to the spring semester, provided the student purchases a spring meal plan. Unused funds left over at the end of the spring semester are non refundable. If all Pirate Bucks are used before the end of the semester, money can be added to a Pirate's Gold flexible spending account that can be used to purchase meals and/or items in the University Bookstore, as well as other campus vending outlets. Commuters may purchase any meal plan or may want to consider a Seton Hall University Pirate's Gold flexible spending account. Further information about meal plans and dining options will be provided at orientation.
