Children Together
Volunteers visit a foster home for abused and neglected children ages 6-12 weekly in South Orange. They are encouraged to build one-on-one relationship with the children as they play games, dance, watch movies, and participate in a variety of other activities.
Participating in the volunteer services that are offered at Seton Hall
has only improved my awareness and commitment to public service. I
believe that public service is one's opportunity to emphasis
selflessness, while encouraging peers to live life by giving back to
their immediate community. Winston Churchill said it best, "One lives
their life by what they have, but we MUST live our lives by what we
give." In order to live a fulfilling life, giving back is one of the
greatest gratifying feelings one can experience.
