Cerebral Palsy League

Volunteering through DOVE has been a great experience. I have been working with the Cerebral Palsy League, and I find it very enjoyable. It makes my day to see the looks on the children's faces when I walk in the room. Their faces light up with excitement because they know they will be making a new friend. Playing and learning with these children helped me realize that small acts of kindness can mean the world to someone else.

Volunteers spend two hours once a month with children who have special needs. Activities include playing games and arts and crafts projects. Volunteers also have the opportunity to see children participate in various therapies, such as occupational, speech, and pet therapy. Volunteers are able to devote time to each child, and help them in learning and practicing skills they have developed.
